I'm making the most of my time recuperating by painting - keeps me from climbing the walls - can't wait to get back out in those hills but at least I have another passion which isn't so physical and I can do indoors!  With these two I wanted to try and capture the texture of elephants skin but in a loose way - as you know I'm not one for detail and like to splash it about!  Also wanted to capture the elephants emotions - elephants are known for having emotions - I believe all animals do to be honest but elephants are known for their strong family bonds and for having fun so the top one I've called Eleluv and the bottom one Elefun - hope you like them.

I have to say a big big thank you for those of you who visited my daughter's blog and left lovely, encouraging comments - it really made her day and she's put another post on with her favourite animal, the wolf for those of you who'd like to pop over and have a look here's the link

  1. My favourite animal and you have portrayed them beautifully as you always do. xx

  2. Just perfect! The texture of their skin in the first one is fabulous! I also like much the more fluid second one

  3. You have given them such character. Superb

  4. Glad to hear you are recovering from your surgery. Your elephants are great. Love the colors you used to capture the texture of their skin. Take care and have a great day.

I love hearing from you, thank you so much for leaving a comment - I will always try to leave a reply and pop over to visit your blog if you have one - although sometimes I may be slower than others, have a wonderful day xx
