thank you renate - yes I always start with the eyes - for me it brings it to life for me - I always feel if I get the eyes right I'm half way there and I can't go far wrong - well that's my logic anyway!
Great to see this painting in progress. Next step is a video. Thinking of doing that myself, once I get back into painting that is. Keep up the good work!

Sharron just found your blog this morning. Love your work. The Meerkat is fantastic. My daughter told me the other day that her photo recognition program wanted to name the meerkat photos she had taken at the San Diego Zoo. Apparently very human features. My favorites!!
